I looked this morning and noticed that the three year old Walt Disney Treasure Mickey Mouse in Black and White: Volume 1 is back up for sale on Amazon! Look!

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/ ... eimprovemz

It says 6 to 8 days shipping, so that looks a bit alarming, but still...

Let's hope they actually have it in stock. A couple of times in the past, Amazon has listed long-discontinued Treasures as being available at not coming through. Either way, thanks for the news and for using UD's link to share it! :santa:

It said the same thing for me with Beauty and the Beast: The Enchanted Christmas, I ended up waiting two months for them to say "Sorry, the item you have ordered is out of stock".

Has anyone ordered the DVD yet? Did Amazon.com send you an email saying that the item shipped?

Well it says it ships in 5 to 8 days, so it's unlikely even if they're going to be able to get them to you that they would have shipped them.

I you clicked on Add to Cart yesterday, it gave a System Error.

Now there isn't a button to click.

It's "Currently unavailable".

I have noticed that sometimes after they report the Tin going OOP that then all the sudden it is available again. Weird. In one case, I went ahead and ordered the tin and then got the same thing others here have reported, an email that they are sorry but they DON'T have it.

On the other hand, I have literally been like the last person to order a tin and seen the listing go OOP right after I placed the order (like within a day). This happened with 2 tins: MM in Living Color Vol II, and Chron. Donald Vol 1. But I just sent them off in the mail to Amazon for a refund as both arrived dented. So theoretically both those tins should show up back in stock at Amazon in about 2 wks when the process the return and return them to stock. Beware, the tins were dented, and that is why I am returning them.

I order Mickey Mouse in Black and White the first day it was in stock thanks to Wondy!!!

I send my payment and it still says estimated shipping date December 21, 2005 - December 27, 2005 if they don't have it in stock I might just pre- order Lady and the Tramp, The Little Mermaid or Howl's Moving Castle.

I might just buy it at e-bay if they don't have it in stock in Amazon.

That is a good strategy.... I just sort of gave up on trying to buy the OOPs as in the past month and a half I have acquired 7 tins and its expensive! The OOPs are so hard to find (I guess I could have tried Ebay but I am ware of doing it that way). For "On the Front" an online store had 2 brand new sealed in stock (I ordered the second one for a gift). For Disney Studios behind the scenes, I used an Amazon Secondary Market seller to acquire it, but it was guaranteed non-dented and never opened (around $50 for that one). I was so busy trying to aquire the Tins, that I actually "forgot" what I had already paid for (as several were on order from Amazon and hadn't arrived) and at Tower Records one day I found a MM B&W Vol II, so I puchased it. Got home and found out I already had that one! I decided to hold onto it, so now I have two of those. (maybe I'll try and trade it later for one I don't have?) But I need B&W Vol I and both MM In Color Vol. 1 and Vol II.

Well I like the idea that we can still get some of the older tins as long as we're very quick. However, I already have "Vintage Mickey", and even though it only contains 9 episodes, that's enough black and white episodes I really need to own!

If I were to bring a treasure back in print, it would be either the "Mickey Living in Color" ones or the "Complete Goofy" one.

How many sets of MM in Black in White do you own now?

As for now I own one without a tin. But I could be owning 3 (2 with tins and 1 without) unless I cancel my order from Amazon and get some other Disney movie.

Well I got a few hours free time tonight (didn't have to work until bedtime, whoo hoo!). So I went to Downtown Glendale to hit a couple stores looking for the Wave 5 tins that I had to return to amazon for dents.... I went to Borders and they were already out, then I went to Tower Records and they had them but all were dented, so I drove to Pasadena and found a whole cache of them without dents! I splurged and bought all four tins. Now I had kept Disney Rarities tin that I had gotten from Amazon but I bought a second one tonight kinda for speculation and/or I might give it to my sister next Oct. for her birthday when its really OOP... anyway, I spent alot of time inspecting each one - I notice the labels on the back - none of them are glued on straight so I gave up on finding one that was on straight. I'm just glad to have all 4 of the tins for Wave 5 undented. I then warned the clerk who rang me up to be very careful with them as they dent easily. They were/are on sale right now at Tower for $24.99 each so if you need them and you live near a Tower Records, I would go there as the price is great and you can look for one that isn't dented. :)
