Yes, she looked wonderful, but no, there was still a certain amount of exaggeration going on.
Most character designs that have actual appeal will exaggerate features to an extent. Cinderella actually has a large head in relation to the rest of the body; in her case the torso was shrunken down from that of a real human figure and was also thinned out. Now let's see what happens when we make match up the width of the shoulders in the two images:
Note how large her head is and even how small her waist remains. I'll be the first to point out that she's
relatively realistic as far as cartoon characters go, but I wouldn't go so far as to say she has realistic proportions. Part of the appeal of animation, at least for me, is the exaggeration seen in the character designs. I tend to agree with
Kyle in that designs that have proportions too close to realistic humans without enough exaggeration indeed look "creepy," or at the very least, are largely unappealing and tend to be utterly bland. (And on a side note, that's a problem I'm having with Blue Sky's
Epic, but that's for another thread I guess.)

Anyway, I was a lot more excited about seeing bits of
Tangled back in the day than I am now about
Frozen. I think part of it was the excitement of seeing how Disney handled a CG princess, and from what little we've seen about
Frozen I'm guessing there won't be much of a difference in that respect. I'm still looking forward to it regardless, I'm just not expecting any surprises.
