I actually thought it looked pretty good for an old 2K restoration. It didn't suffer nearly as many problems as Cinderella, which lacked fine detail and sharp line work. Colors look off to me at times but I don't know enough about that to complain. Worth the $12.

Also, I never noticed the Cannibal Cove drawing. SOO RACIST lol

Hey everyone,

A question. For those of you who have bought the Diamond edition... the dvd that comes included in the set... how does it compare to the previous release, video-quality wise?

Thanks guys!

Got a real surprise when I went to purchase "Peter Pan" Diamond Edition Blu-ray/DVD combo pack.

I went to Wal-Mart, we have nine of their superstores here in Wichita, and while walking down the big aisle toward the back of the store where the electronics are located I caught a glimpse of something on the floor. It was a Wal-Mart gift card and not knowing if it was even activated I took it with me to make my purchase of "Peter Pan" - the shelf price was $18.96, I had the $7 Scott tissue coupon, and then gave the cashier the Gift Card, and my total was less than $6 for my purchase. Now I for sure can get the new James Bond film, "Skyfall", next Tuesday when it comes out.
The only way to watch movies - Original Aspect Ratio!!!!
I LOVE my Blu-Ray Disc Player!

Man, is my local WalMart the only one that is selling it for $27? It surre seems like it.

I had to go to Target to get a decent deal.

I import about half of my Disney blu-rays. Amazon is always on time and yes, the packaging is excellent.

I know, right? Even having inserts is amazing; we only usually get one thing with the DMR code on it.

It is plain ridiculous how excited I am right now!

The U.S. editions are almost always superior, both in terms of packaging and content. Happy you received it early :)

I'm sure it'd work. I'm region 2 myself and have been ordering off Amazon.com ever since BatB in 2010.

Finally received this last week.

Strange it was just a Diamond Edition and not a 60th Anniversary Diamond Edition...

I think we can safely say 'strange' is Disney's middle name at the moment ....

Peter Pan New Release... on DVD?

Post by drfsupercenter »

Just came across this today at Target, and it was also in an email from Amazon.

A "Diamond Edition" DVD+Digital Copy, felt like it was two discs, no slipcover.

What the heck? Didn't we already have a DE Blu-Ray+DVD+DC? I'm curious why they'd release a stand-alone DVD this much later...

It's just the DVD disc found in the Diamond Edition Blu-ray.

For those who don't have a Blu-ray and want to own the DVD disc or if you're a purist/collector.

I´d like for anyone to share any information you may have regarding the release of Peter Pan on Blu Ray in Spain. I ask because it wasn´t released as Platinum. In fact, with no kind of label at all. However, it does seem to be the Special Edition. Still, for it to be that release the image was restored. So, any ideas on why or how this happened?
