I think the plan was to add them in may/june like Merida.RayCRP wrote:Seems like it. Rapunzel was also added in October, and Tangled also came out the previous November...disneyprincess11 wrote:^^I'm guessing that they will add Anna and Elsa to the Princess lineup during that time
It makes sense really..
The movie comes out, people go nuts over it. They sell merch and stuff and they're happy.
But then the demand lessens, people start moving on with their life.
Disney inducts the princess in the line and they get money from park admission and merchandise.
Now with Anna and Elsa.. I don't think disney expected them to be this popular. So I think they're going to wait until frozen gets a major calm down.

Re: Frozen: Part V
Possibly. But both Rapunzel and Merida were inducted roughly 11 months after their movies came out, so I was just going by that. But they could very well have been planned to be added in the summer.

Mooky wrote:The sequel would also introduce Kai and Gerda
Kai and Gerda are already in the movie. Kai was that overweight sassy guy, with the green bow-tie that's like " Weasel- town " snaps / to the Duke, when he reads the letter that Elsa has cut off trade to him.
Gerda is the skinny older aged lady, that helps bring Anna inside when she's freezing cold when Kristoff gives her up, and you can see Hans give cloaks to her, when he's giving them out.
Kai is extremely underated.

Re: Frozen: Part V
You know, about the idea of Anna having powers in a possible sequel: doesn’t the original tale have a summer witch who is the counterpart to the Snow Queen anyway? The one Gerda meets along her travels to save Kai who, like the Snow Queen kidnaps Kai, tries to keep Gerda with her forever? So much for the excuse that Anna having powers would shatter the original story. Elsa is a conflation of the Snow Queen and Kai, so it wouldn't be unexpected for Anna to be Gerda + the summer witch.

Re: Frozen: Part V
As an idea (I'm not sure if I like it or not), what if a sequel involved Elsa and Anna finding out that their parents were not dead. Say someone comes along and says there is a rumour that the King and Queen are stuck or held captive on an island or an underwater city (Atlantis, as an example) and can not escape. There are variations on what you could do. This story could have Anna and Elsa go on a mission to find them and bring them home. In regards to the Atlantis setting, we could have Elsa using her powers to create a tunnel in the water to the city/settlement. This could open up a setting where you could have a villian with magical power (eg an evil Sorcerer has them or whatever) or a cursed land which people can get lost in like a dream (or neither of these). Who knows, you could even add a bit of an origin story for Elsa's magic (the Sea took their parents to the underwater city/settlement because it felt a link to them). A few ideas anyway.
I'm in the party that thinks Hans shouldn't return. I personally thought at the start that he was too nice and they also showed that in their song ("Finish each others sandwiches" instead of sentences - one example), the way he says I love crazy, lucky I caught you again (or something like that). He acts goofily nice, but is also smooth with people. But anyway, that's my opinion or take on it. As you can tell, I really don't like his character. I didn't however think that he would end up doing what he did though, I just thought he felt a bit dodgy.

Best prices for "Frozen" on Blu-ray/DVD combo pack is to be found at Wal-Mart - $19.96 or $21.96 for the same combo pack with the Infinity character of Ilsa.
I already have my copy reserved at CD Tradepost for $15.99 and can't wait for the phone call to come to tell me come and pick it up.
I hope you can't wear out a CD, because I can't count the times that I have listened to the soundtrack. Wheat a great idea to put it out the same day it was released to theaters.
The Blu-ray/DVD release is really a good idea, at least here in Wichita, they are still selling out evening shows on the weekend, and the Sing-A-Long version is doing very good business also. As a family we have seen the regular version 9 times, and the Sing-a-Long version twice. One of the perks of being an employee of a great movie theater. In my opinion this is, without a doubt, the best Disney film since the early years of the DAC's. Can't wait for the 3-D version to come out later this year. Haven't heard a firm date, but everything I read is pointing to a Christmas release.

Target and Best Buy also have it for $20. Don't forget that Target's release comes with the bonus disc, which is how I'm getting the movie come Tuesday.

Will the bonus disc have some extra features? I remember the "Enchanted" release from Target had an bonus disc, with a making off-featurette.Avaitor wrote:Target and Best Buy also have it for $20. Yep, a feature called "The Voices of Frozen", plus an art gallery and a deleted scene.DisneyFan09 wrote:Will the bonus disc have some extra features? Re: Frozen: Part V
Most people want him to come back, because his childhood/ past sounds interesting, he grew up with neglect and some of his brothers ignored him for three years, why ? Did he do something sick when he was younger ? Or was his family a bunch a assfaces ?Disney's Divinity wrote: I'm surprised so many people would want to see Hans again. I mean, I like the character in Frozen, but what else would there be to tell about that character? I don't see him as a Ursula/Jafar/Maleficent type who could pull off coming back with a vengeance.
Most people wanna know, and have him come back as not really a good guy per say, just admit his wrongs, and get back on track. And not go down further down the loopy train ride.

Okay this may be a bit off but it's still Frozen related: on American Idol, Majesty Rose performed Let it Go as part of the week's movie theme, and I will say this.

Yes, it was. It's too bad a contestant like Jordin Sparks hadn't been around to perform that song instead.

If you take care of it, don't leave it in a hot car or anywhere where heat will cause it to warp, it should last for decades. If anything, listening to it over and over and over will wear out the laser in your CD players long before the actual disc wears out.dvdjunkie wrote:I hope you can't wear out a CD, because I can't count the times that I have listened to the soundtrack. October, according to marketing materials. 3D Blu-ray / DVD for sure, no word on 2D Blu or DC/DMA, and it's possible it will have more special features, but not yet a sure thing.dvdjunkie wrote:Can't wait for the 3-D version to come out later this year. Re: Frozen: Part V
Even Hans' concept idea, of the "evil prince charming", has been done to death in other media. Think Shrek, Game of Thrones...etc.
While the idea of the plot twist is cool, the idea in the final film is executed poorly. And I'd HATE it if he was redeemed in the sequel ala Iago or Anastasia in their sequels; I can just see it being done with such poor writing...

Re: Frozen: Part V
I don't think he's one of their greatest villains at all, but I think he succeeds at what the creators wanted, personally. Unlike that article, which would rather us have a Hans who lets us know what he's doing in his first scene... Also, the "evil prince charming" has never been done in Disney, and the fact that they did here seems like it would leave more of an impact than a series like Games of Thrones which is meant for adults or the Shrek series which is nothing but one huge joke. It's more interesting coming from a company founded on films with legitimate Prince Charmings throughout some of their biggest films.
