YES! Finally! The day has come! Everyone can finally see Pixar is not perfect and infallible or the best thing, like, ever!!!! No one said the World was coming to an end, just Pixar's perfect reputation. Based on Yahoo Movies, it's audience grade has been slipping. It was at an "A" yester...

I think it was bound to happen. Certainly Disney under Walt even had some duds (likeable duds, but still movies that do not hold up, particularly with their story). It just happens to every studio from time to time. Even though I hated a good deal of Cars 2, there were some things I loved - the anim...

Good point. I didn't see it in 3D which is probably why I missed it.

What I am reading here is that those who didn't like the first "Cars" movie are slamming the second one. That is not fair, because there are those of us, including me, who think that the 'Cars' movies are really a lot of fun. They aren't meant to be Academy-Award films, they are meant to ...

I was at a midnight showing. I don't want to say it's bad, because it's not, but it's not really that good either. It's just standard action for the most part, well-done action though, but they could have fleshed out the story more. Less spy talk, more heart would have been a good thing. Mater does ...

I thought that the Brave teaser was debuting with Cars 2? Definitely didn't see it tonight at the midnight showing, but saw about 10 other trailers (The Muppets, new Alvin and the Chipmunks movie, Puss in Boots, Happy Feet 2, new Spy Kids, etc.)

Anyone else kinda getting a Carl Fredrickson vibe from that old lady? Love that character design.

Merida looks a little...off...I think it's her eyes...but this movie is going to be great regardless.

This poster is impressive.

I'm eager to see how a fairy tale gets the Pixar treatment, and how similar/different it is from a Disney Animation film.

Bought the soundtrack for "Cars 2" and am knocked out by the people involved in this music. Weezer doing a cover version of The Car's "You Might Think" was quite a surprise, and I liked the Brad Paisley song. All in this is about the same quality as the original "Cars"...

YES!!!!!
haha. that HAS been their bread and butter over the years. but still, going a little more cartoony, humor-driven, and action-oriented for one film is not the end of the world. pixar is too smart to change the formula too much.

There is a negative stigma surrounding the first Cars, which I thought was pretty good (I think it would be even better if co-director Joe Ranft [RIP] didn't die during production), so that is seemingly influencing some of the negative reviews. I think critics are upset that it is not a particularly...

I'm really enjoying the Cars 2 soundtrack. Michael Giacchino did a great job (as usual) with it. Nice mix of songs too.

1. The Simpsons - not sure if this counts, but damn it...that show was pure sitcom gold for like ten years, with an enormous cast of colorful characters, wonderful storylines, and catchy, fun music. although many dismiss its quality now, i think it still delivers good, if not great, episodes on a fa...

I'd say The Black Cauldron. While Sword in the Stone is charming enough, over half of its plot is blatant filler.

I concur, estefan. What should've won that year, Cars? Definitely not in my opinion. The first was a sleeper hit and I thoroughly enjoyed it, but despite trying to view the trailer with minimal expectations I feel like the sequel will be a mess. I hope I'm surprised by the time this rolls out. Cars...

Personally, I think upgrading from a VHS to DVD or DVD to blu-ray is fine. But I'll never understand the people who will purchase a re-release of a blu-ray because of the slipcovers or different cover designs, when almost everything else is the same. Unless there's a very nice coupon involved.

I personally would like to see something along the lines of "A Goofy Movie" where the characters are playing themselves in a whole new original musical adventure. I'd also love for Clara Cluck, Clarabelle Cow, Horace Horsecollar, Oswald, and Peter Pig to have some kind of role. Maybe even...
