Re: Beauty and the Beast Live-Action Discussion

Gaston isn't nearly imposing enough, or attractive enough from my perspective. In a way, doesn't that support the character's concept? He's supposed to have an inflated ego, and people who suffer from one usually don't live up to their believed reputation or appearance. I'll reserve judgement for t...

Re: Funko POP! Disney

From what I understand, Angel is popular in Japan, but I've never seen that much interest for her stateside.

I guess Funko feels there's enough demand for a niche toy line like POPs.

Re: Disney Books in 2013-2016

I recently bought the new Alice book ( An Illustrated Journey Through Time ) and have now read most of it, excluding the final pages on the new movie that comes out this year to avoid spoilers. Like Once Upon a Dream and A Wish Your Heart Makes most of the book does not focus on the live-action movi...

Re: The Renaissance v. the Lasseter Era

Would nostalgia be the only possible reason someone could think that a group of TLM, B&tB, Aladdin , TLK, Mulan , and Tarzan are better than these films? Of course not, I personally prefer The Little Mermaid to most, if not all, of this current decade's titles. When I brought up nostalgia it wa...

Re: The Renaissance v. the Lasseter Era

I won't bother with direct comparisons or trying to define "eras". All I know is that thus far I'm enjoying this decade's (2010-2019) output by Disney Feature Animation more than the 90s. Also, I'm apparently one of the few here who sees Big Hero 6 as a much better film than Pocahontas. :h...

If Disney's interested I think Prydain would work as a TV series too, with each book representing one season.

Re: Zootopia

I think Zootopia deals with those issues in a great way and is less in your face than "classic Disney Films" such as Hunchback. As do I and many others. One of the common compliments given to the movie is that despite it being a "message film", it still works as an engaging narr...

Re: Zootopia

I finally saw the film this last week and was really disappointed with it. Instead of that classic Disney touch that entertains and has a hidden/lighter message, it felt more like SJW propaganda. The message was very heavy and in the audience's face. I did not appropriated that. I also felt like it...

Re: Zootopia

This is easily the best written DAC to date. Most Disney movies get by on the strength of their songs, visuals and side characters, but this is one where not only the main character is well developed, but the entire society (including the supporting cast) she inhabits is too. I'm also glad Disney wa...

Re: Disney Princesses Got a Makeover

And I LOVE that they are using screencaps for the official site and Facebook. Now the princesses look like themselves, and without the makeovers, too! Yes, I do wish they did some really good, new, but on-model and movie accurate images, but I'll take this over the makeovers or any crappy looking a...

Looking forward to Pete's Dragon the most, but there's lots of good ones in there. I really like the Sailor Moon POPs.

I think the Playmobil line is a great idea.

If they wanted something distinct from the other princesses, they could have used her white dress from "Almost There". It's a great lookng dress and certainly qualifies as "pretty".

Re: BLACKBEARDS GHOST DMC BLU-RAY EXCLUSIVE

Hi One thing I am wondering is: Are those new Blu-Rays that got recent releases Region Free Blu-Ray´s or just coded for the US market = A? (it is surely written somewhere, but right now I have no time to search through many posts or threads) 8) I looked at the back of my copies of Davy Crockett and...
