Re: Gigantic
With all these canceled productions and a pipeline full of sequels this current era is looking like a copy of the late 90s early 00s. Can WDAS ever keep its act together? Oh and obviously Lasseter needs to go. Really. People are looking for any excuse to get Lasseter fired. While are there a...

The thing is Blues Sky has had hits and misses. So, will their content be any good.DisneyEra wrote:Looks like WDAS & Blue Sky have switched places: WDAS is now all about sequels while Blue Sky is working on original content "2019's Spies in Disuse". Never thought I'd see the day

Re: Gigantic
*Sighs*. What a complete bummer, but ultimately not that surprising. I was looking forward to this movie for aforementioned reasons (also due to it being the only original project for WDAS for a while), so it's a huge pity that it's been scrapped. It's so unusual for them to announce that a movie i...

Re: Hunchback Live-Action Remake?
Not exactly my favorite movie, and not a single catching song in my opinion, but I know there are others who like it. If they do make it as live action, why not just skip the whole musical thing? And no goat as a sidekick. Also no talking statues. Since it seems like it is all in his mind, it is pr...

She was a surviving relic from the Golden Age of cartoons, and has been a part of our childhoods for many generations. May she RIP.

Give how many live action adaptions the Hunchback has had, I do think this could work.

Re: Pixar's Coco
Instead of hostility, I actually think fans should endorse more crossovers between Pixar's Coco and the Book Of Life. I certainly think it would be interesting if Miguel was in h/c the descendant of Manolo on his maternal side since his father's side has banned music.

Re: Pixar's Cars 3
I have to say about this is that Cars 3 instead of using the tone of Cars 2 is picking up the themes that were given in the first movie. This time Lightening is in the same position as Doc Hudson was at one time, and he's reflecting what's going to happen after all of this. After being never talked ...

How about the fact that I have seen way more biting negativity than anything positive? And I really can't hold the positive if everyone is just negative.

Re: Pixar Is Making More Sequels
John Lasseter is a fucking hack, he doesn't seem to know how to write any story that isn't a dumb buddy comedy road trip. Change the setting and a little of the characters, but they're all essentially Toy Story In Disguise. Truer words have never been spoken. :thumb: I'm glad people are finally sta...

Re: Zootopia
One big problem with that guy's lawsuit is the fact Zootopia started out as being a spy animal thriller, and not about the city itself until halfway into production. Heck, it started out as Jack Savage then turned into the dystopian version before getting to the final product.

That's what happen when you get pop culture based journalism, they often generalize things and leave out crucial details.Sotiris wrote:Nothing says feminism more than reducing women to a single trait, removing any nuance and complexity from their character, and pitting them against each other.

I am calling bull on his claims. I think they are pulling up superficial details to make like it seems that they are very similar. This just screams opportunist behavior.

Re: Pixar's Coco
Plus unlike the Book of Life, there isn't going to be a love story plus the protagonist is a kid. Also the way he goes into the spirit world is not through death, but an alternative way by touching his ancestor's guitar.

Re: Pixar's Coco
I am now totally hooked. It also looks in comparison with Book of Life to take place in the 80's or something instead of the 20's.
