Legit though, she is a great singer... wonder if she will have to pitch her voice a little higher to sound like the original?

Re: Snow White (Live-Action)
Which other characters do you think will be race-switched? Some of the dwarfs for sure and the Prince most likely. Maybe the Huntsman. There's no way they'll do this to the Evil Queen though since she's a villain. Some of the dwarfs will undoubtedly be gender-flipped as well. Noooo lol to gender sw...

Re: Snow White (Live-Action)
I thought Disney might so something like this... so many female roles played by women of colour just lately... I was just waiting for the joke/pun Snow Black lol. rotfl 8) But seriously though, I dont think it's that racist if actress Rachel has a little make up to powder her face lighter.. it isnt ...

Re: Tiana (Disney+ Series)
They should have kept the film called 'The Frog Princess' at least then it would've kept the quirkiness of the actual film. 'Princess and the Frog' implies more classic fairytale, though it was rather more irreverent.
If anything, Tangled was more classical & serious.

Re: Disney’s long-range plans for Mickey Mouse?
It's be nice to have a CGI origin film for Mickey which details where he came from, his family and relationships (first meeting Donald & Goofy), etc. That'd be a nice way to set off his character again.

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
AAAAAAAAA I just discovered Abigail Cowen and now I'm mad Disney didn't cast her as Ariel when she literally looks, acts, and sounds like Ariel. also would still have preferred Mark Hamill as Triton and Kathleen Turner as Ursula. Keep Daveed Diggs as Sebastian tho. Perfect casting there. Omg, Abaga...

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
What with her being younger than Kacey (who seemed more or less exactly like the cartoon) they may go with an idea of her being more of a mirror image/foil whatever it's called of Ariel herself as opposed to the 'villain,' being that she's more like the same age...

Re: Mulan (Live-Action)
Anyone think that Lieu was slightly too old for Mulan at 31 since Mulan was actually 16 in the original film or do you think that wasn't an issue?? (Added note.) Mulan being an awkward teenager was part of her charm. She was figuring everything out and went on a journey. Here she was already a grace...

Re: Mulan (Live-Action)
Sad, sad. Mulan is supposed to be a big, event movie. This is one of few times that the US gets to truly represent Asia/ China as a country as well as an important female superhero empowerment movie.
I mean, at least we have Black Widow released in cinemas, but still, very sad.

Re: Hercules (Live-Action)
I cant imagine why they'd make a live action version of this and not stay as close to the animated film as possible. The reason its become more popular these days is because of millennials nostalgia for it, fondly reminiscing about it with others online and memeing it. Whats the point if they are g...

I fully endorse this idea, along with Tom Holland in the role. Could be fun in a sci-fi John Carter-y way, but hopefully better.

This is good news!
But my major ask would be that Jafar is changed in some way. I may suggest even replacing him, but that might look odd. Alls I know was he was the most disappointing aspect of the film.

Re: Aladdin (Live-Action)
Why would Aladdin run away from his family? I thought they died. Why would we be ok with a boy who ran away from loving parents? My thinking is his family were theives too in the new version but they weren't able to look after Aladdin, so they told him to run away. A selfish move, but they could be...

Re: Aladdin (Live-Action)
If they had done young Aladdin or something with his mother, they could have been brought back Proud of Your Boy. Not only did they just skip ahead to introducing Aladdin and Jasmine only when they meet each other, rather than building them up as individuals, they even sped up their first meeting. ...

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
I still don't know if I could ever accept a black Ariel. I could accept a black Esmeralda, a black/ethnic Moana, a black Tiana, but not Ariel. It's not going to look right with red hair at all. And I'm not sure if Melissa Mcarthy is mean and powerful enough for Ursula. Someone like Kathleen Turner w...

Re: Aladdin (Live-Action)
Wow, that was a really interesting video to watch. I like how he mentioned that the execution of just a few details can completely change a mediocre film into a great one and how, if he had to teach film and how one script can be completely different in the hands of two different people, he would u...
