Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection

On the contrary, I feel like this is one the best and most majestic cover they've done for this film.

Simple but oowerful. I especially love how that glare is only something Simba earns right at the end of the film. It had a power the other covers could not quite convey. Kudos to the artist!

Re: Maleficent II

All three logos feel very final fantasy styled. I hope it becomes a trend.

The more I read, the more I feel like this might be actually decent, perhaps moreso than the first one. I don't get the feeling they are making it just because of the success of the first one.

Re: Finding Dory

Loved it. Spoiler free review: Contrary to the impression created by the trailers, this movie was completely different to Finding Nemo in my opinion. I felt it played more like a Toy Story movie. Fish trying to get around in a human world. I felt the animation was a bit distracting. It didn't seem a...

Re: Finding Dory

^I feel the same. I think it's because it's clear the premise is a rehash of the original focusing on the sidekick. The Seaworld angle, whilst commendable, isn't exactly exciting either. Finding Nemo was great because of the amazing setting.

I'm sure I will enjoy it though.

I don't know if it's official, but it's never too early for Disney to have one. They need to pre-empt everyone to get the best handle.

Re: Zootopia

Absolutely loved it, and I love it more and more the more I think about it. Rich Moore is just a valuable addition to WDAS. My personal ranking (just to show some love to MTR and WIR): 1. Wreck-It Ralph = Meet the Robinsons 2. Zootopia 3. Frozen 4. Big Hero 6 5. Tangled 6. Bolt 7. Princess and the F...

Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection

Plenty of titles are available Digital only. For some people, it means not having to drive to a store or five and having to hunt for it (which costs time and money and petrol). Disney saves money in production costs, customers save money in convenience, prices can't be inflated by third parties on s...

Re: Pixar Is Making More Sequels

Wait a second, so they knew they were making a Cars 3, but they're just waiting until they can figure out a good storyline? That means they are greenlighting sequels without the story in place.

Just like Frozen 2 began without a story, just an ending.

Re: Frozen 2

But do you know why its easy money? Because there is so much demand for a sequel. People want to see more of the characters they love. They are making a film people want. Because of that, it's not easy money. It took a lot of effort and risk the first time round, and now the directors have even more...

Re: Zootopia

Considering Zootopia is a bit of a whodunit and about two people investigating a crime, a more secret villain actually adds to the plot. We can try to piece together the clues as we watch. Hans also served as a message, that appearances aren't everything. Meanwhile, the surprise villain in Big Hero ...

Re: Brenda Chapman Left Pixar

I wonder how Disney differs in culture to Pixar. Any insight to the working culture behind the scenes would be interesting. Obviously I will mention Frozen, developed shortly after which involved two women with a troubled relationship. The screenplay was written by a woman, and the lyrics by another...

Re: Beauty and the Beast Live-Action Discussion

Have you heard of mob mentality and mob lynches? Those are very real things and happen all the time, especially with the advent of twitter and facebook.

Misinformed people get caught up in emotions to attack something misunderstood is a phenomena that occurs daily, even on this forum.

Combine the two logos to have Beauty (all flowery) and Beast (as in the new one) for the perfect logo. Like the original animated movie logo.

Re: Musker & Clements' Moana

In countries where black racism isn't as big an issue, TPATF had no word of mouth in Australia where I live or Singapore when I saw it. Frozen and Tangled and WIR had lots of positive feedback. It was just such a hard movie to get excited for. Critics don't accurately gauge the excitement and pleasu...
