Re: Gigantic

Must just be a difference in pereption but I don't see what he or anyone else working on Gigantic have to be embarrassed about. The film got pushed back on the release schedule, it happens to lots of films at pretty much every studio. It hasn't been cancelled and if there are story problems then Gre...

Re: Gigantic

I am really wondering what is causing Gigantic's problems. This is the SECOND time they're delaying this movie. And not to mention, Wreck-It Ralph 2 just got back to development LAST SUMMER while Frozen 2 is taking longer than WIR 2, so I wonder if Disney is rushing this. WDAS never had a clear pla...

Re: Upcoming WDAS and Pixar release dates

My worst fears came true. They kicked Gigantic aside for a damn sequel! This must of been from Finding Dory, which is killing at the Box Office as we speak. The executives want more sequels. Good that WiR is getting a sequel "as it's the only revival era feature that truly deserves one" b...

Re: 2016 elections thread

Its been almost tragic to watch this Trump farce unfold, like a joke that stopped being funny a long, long time ago.

If he gets the nomination then I just hope he gets annihilated by Clinton. Trump as President would make America a laughing stock.

Re: Lasseter takeover--good or bad?

Its been a brilliant ten years for the studio IMO, hopefully there are many more to come with Zootopia, Moana, Gigantic and whatever lies beyond.

The one, massive negative has been the wage-fixing scandal which was inexcusable on the part of everyone involved.

Re: Pete Docter's "Inside Out" (June 19, 2015)

It was a good group of nominations this year, Inside Out or Anomalisa would have gotten my vote, both films were more than worthy of the award. I'm delighted for everyone who worked on Inside Out, I thought it was an incredible piece of work from one of the best, most creative directors in animation...

Re: Wreck-It Ralph 2

Didn't you promise to stop with all of this nonsense?

If you're going to insist on repeating it over and over again couldn't you start a separate thread to keep it in rather than pollute every topic about each new upcoming film with the same thing?

Re: Gigantic

Frankly, I'm tired of this contrived conspiracy theory that the Big Bad John Lasseter has a personal vendetta against Alan Menken and is the only force stopping him from working on every Disney film. For God's sakes, Alan Menken has had more projects with the company in the past 5 years than he had...

Re: Finding Dory

Its been announced at the D23 Expo that Ed O'Neill has joined the cast as an octopus named Hank. Some more plot details: The story begins with Dory living with Marlin and Nemo on their reef. But a minor trauma triggers a memory she can’t quite pin down. It’s something important… she doesn’t quite kn...

Re: Musker & Clements' Moana

I must have missed when it became a rule that Disney has to provide work for Alan Menken. Nevertheless I'm looking forward to seeing what the musical team for Moana come up with, for two "nobodies" they' don't look to have done too badly for themselves, particularly Tony and Grammy-award w...

Again, do not listen to anything that comes from that big fat liar Jim Hill! I've suspected it for a while, but this more or less confirms who you are. I think you're spot on, the Jim Hill outburst is the giveaway. Plus he used the same username on another forum which he was banned from whe...

Re: Lasseter takeover--good or bad?

Really don't see the big deal personally, as part of a fairly large itinerary of exhibits and panels it seems like a small novelty for people at the Expo to see if they want to.

Re: Pete Docter's "Inside Out" (June 19, 2015)

Judging by the early buzz from Cannes, Pixar has another critical smash on its hands: http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Reaction-Pixar-Inside-Out-Glowing-Read-Sampling-71506.html Pixar likely will have another smash hit on its hands when Inside Out reaches theaters in June. We have been hearing a groun...

Re: Star Wars Episode VII (2015)

Disney apparently rejected George Lucas's ideas for the sequels. Anyone else find that horrible to do to him? Buy his intellectual property then not listen or to or use his further intellectual ideas? And then who would want to see Star Wars knowing it's no longer George Lucas's Star Wars? Nope, no...

Re: Musker & Clements' Moana

I've been a fan of his since he began his career in the WWE so I think this is great casting. He's part of a Samoan wrestling dynasty and has always been proud of his heritage so being a part of a film like this will mean a lot to him. He can sing too so he seems a perfect fit for this film.

Re: Pixar's Toy Story 4

I'm excited. I think Pixar have made an interesting choice of writers too, I'm a fan of Rashida Jones as an actress and Michael Arndt will be a hard act to follow. I like the Pixar slate, can't wait for Inside Out and then there's an interesting mix of original films and sequels to follow. Presumabl...
