I have not gotten my copy yet. I am kind of getting tired of upgrading DVDs to Blu-Rays, only to have to face the inevitable fact that another format will appear and I will end up having to buy the movie all over again. I MIGHT get it Friday (my day off), however, if there are any copies left, as L...

Not to open this can of worms but I have to ask, have we ever settled the aspect ratio debate with this film? the blu ray looks to the unmatted version, which I actually prefer, but I know purest will disagree. For me as long as the animation isn't cut off unmatted looks better. These screenshots a...

While the movie obviously didn't get the same treatment as other Disney Blus have, I actually don't mind that they didn't get rid of the film grain. I used to be a grain hater, but now I don't mind it so much (except when a movie is so grainy that it becomes distracting).

Hmm . . . maybe they should go back to the vertical lettering.

Hmm.... To get it ASAP, or to wait until I get it? That is the question. Seriously. I already have the 25th anniversary edition DVD of The Fox and the Hound, but I don't own the sequel, not that I'd be getting it for the sequel. :? I'm thinking about that too. I've got a huge list of movies to get ...

To reiterate what I said, I don't think it's THAT big of a deal or worth loosing sleep over. I'm simply not a satisfied customer with having to be reminded of having that stupid movie on my shelf or seeing it's title starring at me on the menu asking me which movie I want to select, thus reminding ...

gregmasciola, speaking for myself. My dissatisfaction comes from a Disney collector standpoint only. It has nothing to do with how much the set is or whether or not I plan on watching the 2nd film or not. Of course it's not a thing to loose sleep over, but as I do not like to support or want ANY of...

While F&TH isn't really one of my favorite Disney films, I'm still excited that it's getting a Blu-Ray release. I've never seen the sequel, so I have no opinion of how good or bad it is, but I think some people are making way too big of a deal about the two films being released together. First, ...

Even though this wouldn't be my first choice for the next classic on Blu-Ray, I'm still very excited that it's coming. I'm not crazy about the cover art either, but I do like how it's more green than the platinum cover. I'm just not crazy about how the characters are arranged and how the title is ve...

I agree. I was really surprised when they made the decision to include the DVD. It was just like, "Really? The majority of people buying this will be upgrading their DVD. They don't want another one." They're gonna include a DVD with all Blu releases for at least the next year, so we'll g...

Just wanted to throw my 2 cents in. I don't think that these 'Diamond' editions will be that much different from the way they do the Platinum Editions. They just feel like they can't release 2 different editions of a movie with different transfers and different bonus features with the same name. And...

Let's not jump to any conclusions. That link doesn't say anything about the release being 1 Blu-Ray and 2 DVDs. But I understand why you think it would be a good idea. It actually does. It says 3pc, and Wbr. 3 piece with Blu-Ray. Irregardless, I think that would be a good idea. Keep the same...

Its interesting to me that they are planning a 2-disc DVD release with a 1-disc Blu-Ray, but its a pretty smart idea. So many people complain that if they buy the Platinum Blu-Ray, they only get the first disc on DVD and can't watch the bonus features elsewhere. This way, they have the film in HD, ...

I know the reasons for his naivety, but it doesn't mean I have to like him. Where is stands out the most is in his second encounter with Honest John. He's spent the past few minutes wailing about how he got himself into his mess with Stromboli, how he should have listened to his conscience, and the...

Honestly, both of those shots look like crap to me. In the old one, she looks way too dark and in the new one she looks way too bright. Again, though, Marky, it seems like you're judging the entire restoration based on one shot. I have both versions on dvd. I judge the films based on the films. I j...
