Re: Pirates of the Caribbean 6

Personally I would prefer Eleanor Tomlinson.. excellent actress that could carry the rol...Jessica Chastain would also be great but perhaps a bit old?

I'm glad to see someone else is interested in something different from the original animated film. But what did you expect they were going to cast her as, a white woman?[/quote]
Well.. since Ariel is going to be portrayed by a person of color...anythings possible with Disney

Re: Mulan (Live-Action)

Just saw the trailer in cinemas...really gorgeous look.. since it will steer away from it's animated counter part it has me intrigued. So glad they went for an Asian actress!

Re: Frozen 2

Visually stunning film ...storywise sorely lacking...and those songs ...cringe worthy... For a movie so long in development this is a swing and a miss for me... Hopefully the inevitable 3rd will do justice to the property...instead of being another Shrek the Turd

Re: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

@JeanGrey...all valid points..But keep in mind George Lucas may have thought out this Space Opera...But it was Ralph MqQuarrie who visualised it all...and THATS the Star Wars I like... His touch could be felt throughout the original trilogy...and is sorely lacking in the final trilogy. Having Kylo R...

Re: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker

I'm sorry.. But I too am a Last Jedi hater...aside from Mark Hamill detesting his role from start to finish..visually this movie did nothing for me.. The Rise of Skywalker was just plain lazy story telling..I'd agree on that...That Sith dagger which only worked upon standing in the right position......

Re: Pixar's Soul

This, like Inside Out ( worst pixar ever ...yes even worse than Cars 2) , holds zero interest to me... Onward again is weird story telling. I am all for original content...but sofar it looks like very weak storywork. Coco was the last Pixar that swept me off my feet...visually and quite decent story...

Re: Aladdin 2

To this day I very much like The Return of Jafar..now if only Robin Williams had just returned and the animation was on par with Aladdin... they butchered something that truly had potential and was the first sequel actually worth telling. The appeal is there though and I find myself revisiting this ...

Re: Question about a Production Drawing of Jafar!

Upon second viewing I'm not convinced it's from Aladdin at all. More Return of Jafar. The cloack looks really large by comparison to the Aladdin Jafar which, imho, confirms it

Re: Question about a Production Drawing of Jafar!

Question is ...who drew it? Andreas Deja is my initial guess..to refined for an assistant animator...He has a blogspot Dejaview. I'd ask him. Another possibilitiy is that this might be an unused scene and alltogether even more valuable

Re: The Lion King (Live-Action)

I think that all the above sums it up nicely...I agree on all parts. Mostly the overall look is troublesome. If it was just Scar though, I could overlook it maybe..but this whole look is like a lesser African Cats...Disney released that already ...And already I like that documentary infinitely bette...

Re: The Lion King (Live-Action)

Scar...pumbaa ...horrendous...nothing to do with the 2D counterpart, albeit infinetely better, just this 3D conversion is just plain lazy and unimaginative. And having James Earl Jones reprise but not Jeremy Irons is an insult to the character that is Scar. Either invite both...or neither
