Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
I inferred he wanted her big because she was in the original. Old Fish Tale , realistically she would be slipping and sliding on her tail, unable to stand. I honestly looked at that drawing and assumed she was using her arm strength to hold onto to the rudder instead of standing on her tail. She cl...

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
I find this nitpicking so ridiculous. She literally climbed to Eric's ship just using the strength of her arms in the animated film, but she can't hold onto to a rudder here? Please.

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
Thank you. I'll definitely buy the Mattel pack with the seven sisters.
I think this video hinted at a Vanessa doll too?

Probably still to come?

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
Reading this thread is honestly mind-boggling to me. Some posters here will literally just say anything as if it's a fact. The film is already a "disaster" when we've seen absolutely zero of it? Changing things from the original does not make it a "disaster." Also, are we really...

Re: Jungle Cruise
It sounds like you just have a problem with strong female characters. No, I don`t. I don`t have a problem with female characters being strong. I have problem with them if they`re dull and unappealing. But I`m sorry if I came across that way. You did. When you describe a strong willed woman who trie...

Re: Jungle Cruise
Emily Blunt was lackluster and was essentially just a stuffy, but whiny and unappealing Willie-archetype. It sounds like you just have a problem with strong female characters. I thought that Emily Blunt was dull, bland and boring. But I`m sorry if I came across as if I was completely tarnishing her...

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
I'm definitely not worried for its box office. I'd be happy if it bombed considering how much they've altered things, the same way I rooted for Mulan 's failure (and likely will with Hercules , too, since I'm pretty sure the Muses and music have been cut from that film). The only reservation I have...

Re: Jungle Cruise
I've seen some complaints about him not flat out saying "I'm gay" or "I like men" during the coming out scene, but he's opening up to someone he has just met. Lightly treading in that kind of situation definitely rings true to me. He literally says as much as one could say withou...

Re: Jungle Cruise
why did Proxima Just allow Lily to go through his cabin when he specifically told her to not allow it and try to GET the arrowhead, especially when in one scene whenever she was on the boat she took it off and put it in a box and then a few Scenes later headed back around her neck The arrowhead was...

I was told by two critics (one from France, the other from Germany), the embargo lifts on Sunday (July 25). The review embargo, apparently. They were told they can publish reviews on that day. The premiere is on Saturday night. So, I wouldn't be surprised if we got reviews right after it. Unless As...

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
Well, I hope they don't make the scales go up that far. That said, those kinds of gaudy, cumbersome outfits most fanart come up with to put her in would be just as ugly. Didn't they mention that her look would be more conservative? It's quite possible that the top part will be handled in CGI just l...

Re: Jungle Cruise
I wanted to buy that book. Amazon even had a preview with the cover and a page from the book last year. I'm sensing very little awareness or enthusiam for it too. Unless Asia (where Dwayne Johnson is a draw) saves it, I think it will bomb. But it's a win and lose situation for me either way because ...

Re: Jungle Cruise
I vividly remember an Instagram post from Dwayne Johnson implying the two weeks of reshoots were related to the third act (the tree of life climax). So, they didn't film Jack Whitehall's scenes all over again. Editing some content out is possible, though.

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
Her hair. :( Why would they go with such a direction for the hair? Isn't Marshall supposed to have good taste or something? I wouldn’t be shocked if they CGI color it. Actually dying it would ruin her locs forever and she’d most likely have to cut them off. My guess is they had her lighten them for...

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)
It's just a rehearsal, but I think it's her final hairstyle. I don't know what's so bad about it. We've seen a lot of fanart of this Ariel with dreadlocks. It seems most people were expecting what we ended up getting.
