Re: Frozen IV

Olaf: "Is this "putting us in mortal danger situation gonna be a regular thing?"
Elsa: "No. We're done."

I'll watch the movies and love the songs, but on the whole Frozen II just wasn't good and it's soured my expectations. I'm pre-emptively done with these.

I think it's a tie-in with this set.
There are no villains in that set, so the reasoning for Gaston is a mystery to me, but these specific Princesses being transported to a weird castle? Doesn't seem a coincidence.

Re: Andreas Deja's Short Film 'Mushka'

I agree it looks beautiful. I don't think I'll watch it though, I got strong 'Goodbye may seem forever' vibes from the trailer and that hits too close to home. I don't think I can deal with that. It's a real shame, since I love Andreas and his work. I hope the short does great.

Sleeping Beauty Lady and the Tramp Atlantis The Black Cauldron Brother Bear The first two are pure artistry and craftsmanship. Atlantis is a great adventure with awesome animation. Black Cauldron has so much potential... and Brother Bear sinks lower in my estimation every time I watch it. Should wat...

Re: Strange World

Yeah, Disney hung this out to dry.
The only version going to conemas here was the dubbed version, while we usually get a subbed version too. No sub means no adult audience. The movie, even if it were great, never stood a chance.

Yes, this reads a lot like
Step 1: Throw stuff at the wall
Step 2: ?
Step 3: Profit

And it'll probably work.

Re: Pinocchio (Live-Action)

SPOILERS! Zemeckis reveals at this point of the interview that in this version Geppetto has had some loss in his past which spurred him on to want to create Pinocchio, so probably what we suspected is true and he lost a son. I hate this change. Trying to replace a lost child has been completely over...

Damnit, they CGI'd Figaro :headshake:
Other than that, this looks better than Dumbo, Mulan or Lady and the Tramp.

This is a disappointing start, to be sure. Still, there's comfort in knowing new people can join, so we're not just an ever-slinking group of people, destined to die out. I'm sure actual new people will join eventually, and they'll be most welcome. Sotiris, thank you for your work in making this pos...

I wasn't talking about you/us when I said 'random strangers', that was an example of how this question wouldn't fly with real-life people. Even with the physical similarities, I'd argue it doesn't matter how they got her. I'm sure people can fill in the blanks and if not, that's a great opportunity ...

Doesn't matter. There are many families with same-sex parents, it's not up to random strangers to demand explanation.
Personally, I hope they don't answer that question. More children will be able to identify.

Thanks for posting - it was indeed an interesting read. I'd probably have reacted in much the same way, but then, I'm also neuro divergent. I'm polite to a fault, and won't recognise insults until a good half-hour after the fact. This girl could have had a field day with me. I'd say her attitude is ...

As a fan of NotAlwaysRight and AskAManager, I'd like to read it.
As a lurker, I can't promise I'll reply.
So yeah, this is a useless response

No, that’s not what I implied. But the fact that a large majority of the LGBTQ community in the world is being persecuted or discriminated against is an undeniable fact. Im gay and not suffering, but staying silent is being complicit. This law is bizar. People need to speak up. This. There are so, ...

Heh, you might be right there. It was indeed supposed to take place after the destruction of her grotto. I understood it to be a song where Triton tries to explain his actions, but it might've been an Ariel-song instead. If it ever existed at all :D

Does anyone remember the rumour about the time of LM's Platinum Edition?
There was talk of an added song as with BatB and Lion King. It was supposedly called 'Sunshine Only Shines On Land', a song for Triton.
Never knew if there was any substance to it, but the discussion now reminds me of it.

In another news article, someone called him one of the Giants of our time.
I agree, and it immediately made me think of 'Giants in the Sky'.
Seems fitting, somehow.

Sondheim was an incredible talent and has left behind so much material to delight for generations to come. He will be missed.

You know, you're really making me hate Disney. Your obsession with looks and disregarding every single other thing in existence is toxic, to others and to you. I don't know your age, but I'm hoping there's room to grow. Please start seeing there's more to life than beauty, as these characters have t...
