Re: Should Pixar movies be classified as Disney canon?

The problem is, which movies are considered greats really comes down to opinion. Someone may not like Bambi but think Home on the Range was a winner (not me, but I'm just saying, everyone is entitled to their own opinion). There's also the matter of the direct-to-home-media Disney sequels. Yeah, I t...

Should Pixar movies be classified as Disney canon?

Ok, pretty trivial question here, but silly as it is it's been kind of bugging me: do you think Pixar movies should be paired with the other animated Disney films? I was looking at a Comcast list of their top picks for the best and worst animated Disney movies, and they included Pixar. On the other ...

All I can say is I am feeling quite vexed that Disney only is distributing the English dub of this film to theaters. As a result, they've lost my business on this one, and I sent them my negative feedback. I'll eagerly await its DVD release instead, though I was really looking forward to seeing it o...

An even more perplexing comment is the one about The Lion King being an "aging" film. Really? The Lion King hasn't aged a day since 1994. To those who have seen Lion King in its theatrical re-release or who are informed about it, which version of the movie is it? Original, IMAX, or DVD (w...

Yeah except from my experience this is the only one so far that has had this problem. For example, the old release for Kiki's Delivery Service has multi-angle. The first Disney Totoro release was later than that, but it didn't have multi-angle for some reason. Therefore I'm wondering if they fixed t...

Totoro 2010 DVD release quick question

Sorry to make a whole new thread to ask this, but I can't find a better place. Note: I am posting this here since, though My Neighbor Totoro is released in the USA through Disney, it is still not a Disney movie. Here's my question: I found to my dismay that in the older of Disney's two releases of t...

So you can't just choose the first four ($8 cost)? You're required to pay over $100 or whatever? It's all or nothing?

Cost?

Since the Disney Club site doesn't comment on it, does the membership come with a price? If so, what is it? Are there any other catches to this? It sounds too good to be true. Really I'm just interested so I can get 4 movies for a measly $2 each, but I don't want to jump in to this and find out ther...

Ah, I see. So in the original, Mufasa appears much sooner as his clear self, but in the IMAX he doesn't at first (however, he still looks exactly like that first picture from the theatrical when he says "you are my son, and the one true king." *sobs at how incredibly amazing the scene is* ...

Off the top of my head, the hyenas of Lion King are the most likeable villains. But if we're talking more evil, Scar (The Lion King), Maleficent (Sleeping Beauty), and the Wicked Queen/Witch (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) are my top 3, in no particular order.

Buena Vista does have the rights, they just aren't putting them out. And I completely agree, while I really liked FF season 2, the first was horrible . Even my brother agrees with that. True, the DC shows had much greater quality (and no US cartoon tops Batman TAS, IMO), but the Marvel ones still de...

Besides adding some minor stuff like a "Platinum Edition" thing at the top, Disney really should've gone with the blue poster. While I like the picture they used for the DVD, the poster here is a much better representative of the beauty and drama of the film, and really the film as a whole.

Marvel TAS shows...thoughts?

My younger brother is nuts over the '90s Marvel Animated Series shows (Spider-Man, X-Men, Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Hulk, Silver Surfer, etc.) and hates Disney for not releasing them on DVD (save Fantastic Four). Personally, I am in agreement that these need to be put on DVD box sets. If timed right...

Lion King changes?

Ok, I know about the opening Disney logo, crocodile, and waterfall changes from the pictures in the review, but I really would like to see the comparison for the other changes, primarily the Mufasa clouds scene. Descriptions are good, but pictures are best, and maybe video. I'd appreciate some insig...
