I'm talking about the film being undervalued as a serious artistic achievement, not as a popular product on the marketplace. Well, even this is debatable. The Platinum Edition pretty much beats you over the head about the artwork, what with the Eyvind Earle featurette and the fact that the making-o...

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I'm just curious as to why you don't like "The Legend of the Sword in the Stone".

Favorite Silly Symphonies

Feel free to merge this thread if there's already another like it. But anyway, what are some of your favorite Silly Symphonies? I love them all, but my two favorites are probably 'Mother Goose Goes Hollywood' and 'Lullaby Land'.

"A Symposium on Popular Songs"

I've been enjoying this special on YouTube, but has it been released in any other form, like on DVD?

Buzz and the comic book are seen lying around the dentist's office. The Pizza Planet truck is seen during Gill's explanation of the escape plan.

TOY STORY's Sid in "Finding Nemo"?

I heard that Sid from "Toy Story" was supposed to be in the dentist's waiting room in "Finding Nemo", but the idea was dropped somewhere in the production stage. Does anyone know why?

I'm surprised that no one had a problem with "Their skin's a filthy red...".

And is it just me, or does Kekata sound like Tigger when he sings? Yes, I know it's Jim Cummings doing the singing voice, but it always cracks me up.

Without the gargoyles, all the little kids who saw this movie would turn out to be serial killers. Your reasoning for this is? The Gragoyles add nothing to advance the story and their humour is horribly out of place on top of their sole existence begin just to please the kids, they are among Disney...

I think this movie worked well for what it was, but the cruel fact is this: there is NO WAY that the story can be adapted and be faithful to the original text, and that deeply saddens me. Also, I get tired of hearing people complain that the comic relief in this movie was cumbersome. Without the gar...

I think that, in terms of story, "Hercules" is one of Disney's weaker '90s movies. It's like it aimed to be an even more comedic version of "Aladdin". In both movies you have a hero searching for his place in life and approval of his community (Aladdin/Hercules), you have a funn...

"Pirate Gold"

One of my favorite Disney characters is the Aracuan Bird. That's why I was interested to hear that in the 1940's, another short that was to feature him (called "Pirate Gold") was planned, but ultimately scrapped. Does anyone know why it was scrapped?

I like the one with piano the most. It looks like it was done with most care and attention to detail ( all of Fagin's dogs are in it). I hope you realize that the only dog that's not on the poster with Sikes is Einstein. Einstein is the weakest character in the film; his absence from *one* poster i...

Would you mind explaining that one? :? :) Not to be rude or anything, but how do you not understand that? Poca's lover left, and I would venture a guess to say that she would be sad if her lover left, which he did. I know this song inside and out, and I don't think it compares to Pocahontas at all.
