Don't shoot me, but I actually agree with every point Ben makes in his review at Animated Views. This film had so much potential. It's too bad they didn't use it... The animation is -overall- pretty nice though! Sadly that's about the only thing positive I have to say about this Little Mermaid Franc...

Also, in the original "Lion King" Timon said "Who's the monkey?" when Rafiki showed up to tell TImon, Pumbaa and Nala that Simba went back to pride rock, while in TLK 1 1/2 he met Rafiki earlier...

But let's get back to talking about TLM III ;)

*sigh* I'm also with Disney Duster on this... Ariel looks way off-model and she shouldn't be, as DisneyToon Studios had enough time to alter the animation (meaning, telling the external animation companies) so she would look good. People saying that she is off-model in the original movie too, are co...

If you don't like it, why bother coming to post about something that the people on this thread clearly like? We can't change your opinion, and you can't change ours. I think a forum is still a place where lots of people (with lots of different opinions) can discuss things like this? Discussions kee...

A thing that got me confused in the film: (I've put it in white just in case, but I don't think it's a spoiler) Anastasia sings in this film, and she sings beautifully. It's been a while since I saw the original film, but weren't both Anastasia and Drizella horrible singers? Remember "Oh Sing S...

SPOILER.. also...i thought drizella and tremaine where transormed into toads!!! i wonder what kind of song... It's not a song. In the transition of the painting credits (they show a painting, then some credits, a painting again, etc.) to the scrolling credits they show a brief piece that shows Lady...

I actually think Pixar is aware that people could compare this to Blue Sky's "Robots" and that's why Wall-E does not resemble a walking robot like "Robots" mostly had. Instead, they use this different type of robot to differentiate them from the Blue Sky movie of the same genre. ...

Re: Cinderella III: Spoilers!

Ummm...but the artwork for this film is based on the artwork for the original...and the plot was well thought out in the original, too... Well, see that comment seperately from the looking forward part... It was just a seperate comment about the film, and not meant to sound that the backgrounds, an...

I can only hope that TLM III will be as good as Cinderella III looks right now. Keep in mind that Cinderella III was the DisneyToon Studio's last effort and they really put their heart and soul into the animation... I'm only talking about the animation now, so the story could still be great too. But...

I just want to clear this up: Cinderella II was not made as a real sequel. It was originally meant to be a TV series about Cinderella, like The Little Mermaid. They are just stories stuck together to make a feature-length film. Cinderella III however, is the first real sequel made for Cinderella, an...

Here in Belgium the Cars DVD comes with a poster. Very nice of them to include that and all, but the problem is: it is actually GLUED to the plastic inlay holder of the case. It's glued on it with about 15 blobs of glue. Now THAT's a nightmare. Result: Bumped plastic and remains of glue on the back :x

You are totally right 2099net, but that's just the way it works nowadays. We (the Disney fans) are not the target audience and we do not bring in the money! The audience ARE those brainless people! But anyway, I think most here are not getting the point Patrick is trying to say... I think he's tryin...

I haven't seen the film itself yet, so I can't answer everything you ask, but here I go: What I meant with a fake Cinderella is that <following is a real big spoiler>>>>Anastasia will be transformed into Cinderella by Lady Tremaine, while the real Cinderella gets into a fake evil pumpking cariage to...

It's my pleasure... I got the information straight from Disney, from a person that worked on the film. There should be more information globally available soon on the internet, but I guess I just got everyone here a scoop ;) This film will be fantastic! I did get your PM, but for some reason my PM i...

Disney Duster, I can asure you that you won't even be able to compare the first sequel with this one, as Cinderella III has a totally different aproach, both on visual and story-telling level. The original art of Mary Blair has been studied for a long time before even starting development on this ne...

I hate to reply to a topic this old, but eh... I need to say this. @gaygaybrad: To respond to the following quote on your site: I've never believed in doing sequels. I didn't want to waste the time I have doing a sequel; I'd rather be using that time doing something new and different. It goes back t...

This wouldn't suprise me at all actually. Since John Lasseter is at Disney Feature Animation some strange stuff has happened (like the change of music composer on "The Frog Princess") and this could be the next step from John. I'm just guessing here though. I don't want Chris to leave the ...

Well, a storyboard is just to tell a story, so I can't comment on the quality of the drawings (of course, that person I know drew the characters spot-on, but you won't see that in the final film, even IF his scene is preserved). But from what I've seen it looked alright, it was very TLM-ish  It...

I'm affraid I'm not allowed to tell you that, but this was just for information to prove a point... Sorry!

He's a freelancer that sometimes works for Disney on several projects... That's all I can tell you :P I think that storyboard was actually the only one he did! He was excited about it though :P
