Re: Turning Red

Just finished watching it and I absolutely loved it. It’s the first Pixar (or Disney film to be quite honest) I’ve loved since Coco. I was an eighth grade Canadian in 2002. I’m a boy, but I hung with girls almost exclusively back then and I knew all those girls and saw so much of my own life in the ...

Re: Encanto

Finally got around to watching this last night. After HATING Raya and the Last Dragon and Luca earlier this year, I haven't been in a hurry to view any new Disney projects. Honestly, I went into Encanto having only seen the original teaser trailer (which didn't do anything for me) and not really kno...

Re: Funko POP! Disney

There's a leak about classic characters coming soon featuring a new Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Pluto, Daisy, Chip & Dale. These will likely be regular paint jobs of the new molds we've seen come out in the Pride and Art series, along with full-size versions of mini pops we've seen like Donal...

Re: Funko POP! Disney

So my assumption that the pig snout was just some weird add on to the basic Mim Pop. Glad I passed on it. The regular Mim will be probably added to my collect. Maybe the dragon... I'm not sure yet. Mim isn't a character I have much attachment to. I have been culling my collection these last few week...

Re: Pixar's Luca

Just finished watching it. It was... ok. Very slow in the beginning, with no world building at all. I wanted to know more about the sea-monsters society. Why do they turn into humans on the surface, what is life like under the water, why are Luca's parents so anti-surface? They kinda answer the last...

Re: Funko POP! Disney

New villains (in the same style as the Ultimate Princesses) set coming this fall. It's likely the new Jafar and Scar that have been found in some retailers computer systems also belong to this set. Definitely planning on selling my old ones and replacing them with these. Especially if Scar, Jafar, ...

Re: Funko POP! Disney

How would that Beauty and the Beast VHS Pop Box be? Like a replica of the VHS case for a Funko Pop? Funko has a line of Album Cover and Comic Cover Pops that include the art of the original album/comic book in the box with a pop version of the character featured in the art in front of it. I imagine...

Re: Funko POP! Disney

Yikes... the Madame Mim Wondercon pop looks awful in person. The nose is a separate piece from the rest of the head and it doesn't look like the factory put too much effort into making it look like one piece. I dunno, could just be an unfortunate occurrence, but with Mim being a pop I'll have to bu...

Re: Funko POP! Disney

Not so long ago I watched RAYA. The movie was such a meh experience for me that I forgot to check the Pops to see if there was one for the villainess...and there is. So now I have to get that Pop to add to my collection. Did this happen to anyone else? Honestly, as someone who's Disney Pop collecti...

Re: Raya and the Last Dragon

It gets a resounding "meh" from me. Definitely feels more like a movie for little kids than anything else Disney has done in a while. I get that all their movies have kids as the target audience, but I didn't feel there was much for mom and dad in this one (other than the glaring obvious l...

Re: Funko POP! Disney

Enchantress from Beauty and the Beast coming as Wondercon exclusive (shared with Hot Topic) later this month. I’ll have to see it first, but it if it painted like stained glass I may have hard time turning it away. 30th Anniversary collection is going full steam ahead it seems. Briar Rose is the onl...

Re: Funko POP! Disney

The Green Dress Belle box has a new 30th Anniversary Beauty and the Beast logo (the same way the 30th anniversary Little Mermaid Pops did), this probably indicates a new wave of 30th Anniversary pops are indeed coming. Perhaps the back of the box may reveal some of them. Really the only thing I'm ho...

Re: Has Disney+ caused people to dump their Disney DVDs/BR?

Moana was the last blu-ray I bought, and it will likely remain that way. I've sold off all but my most favourite DACs and a handful of other non-disney films and even them I'm considering selling now since I don't display my movie collection anymore. I can't remember the last time I actually watched...

Re: Funko POP! Disney

As a Kaa fanatic that Pop is a must have and a big contender for my top 10 of the year list.

A Pepita Pop from Coco is coming to Boxlunch later this month. I really like it, but probably not enough to pay to import it.

Re: Funko POP! Disney

First look at the 80th Anniversary Fantasia Pops! Chernabog and Sorcerer Mickey are musts. If we get a crocodile at some point down the line I'll want the hippo too, but I don't want one without the other. So glad I never forked out the money for the original Mickey. Hoping some 80th Anniversary Pin...

Re: Funko POP! Disney

The Rapunzel is cute, but when it leaked that a new Tangled exclusive was coming I was really hoping for Gothel. My Stitch collection is ballooning this fall. Though I really wish the Baker Stitch was holding the giant chocolate cake, instead of this finished one. Still cute enough to buy though. I ...

Re: Funko POP! Disney

It's not the Partners statue, which is one of my Top 5 most wanted Pops, but I'll take it. The Walt Pop is really well done. I wish he were doing the "Disney Point", but it's a lovely piece regardless. I would have preferred if they made Sleeping Beauty's castle larger. It definitely warra...
