Re: Comparing Home Releases Cover Arts

I think the Pinocchio Limited Issue DVD is the best, followed by the Best Buy steelbook. The Platinum is almost my favorite, but something has always felt off about it - I thought it was strange to have everyone crammed on the side and then the ocean and sky taking up so much empty space. Also, the ...

Re: Comparing Home Releases Cover Arts

Great idea for a thread! I like the charm of the VHS cover and that style is very nostalgic for me, but I'd say the Platinum edition DVD is my favorite. Part of that may be related to how special the release felt. The gigantic double-sided case and the care Disney put into this release made it feel ...

Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection

I also loved, loved, loved the 1997 cover. I was a little kid and that cover completely entranced me. I knew I just had to see that movie. I remember Sam's Club had a massive cardboard cutout display of it as well and it seemed like the most magical thing on earth.

Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection

Wow, five Signatures in one year. They really are trying to rush to finish the line. Might explain all the horrible cover choices - not just with these, but the general rereleases and the Pixar ones. It's easily the worst art they've ever used. Sleeping Beauty is atrocious for such a beautiful film....

Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection

The Disney Movie Club sent an email about the new Cinderella releases and I've never seen the artwork below. Could this perhaps be what the covers will be?

Re: Disney Animation on Blu-ray in 2013

I'm getting worried for the package films! Is it possible they won't come out? What are the odds that out of the 8 animated classics not yet announced/out, all 6 package films are in that small list of 8? It makes me wonder if they are purposely not putting them out. If they do come out, it's very o...

My copy came in from Amazon today and I took it for a spin. WOW!!!! It is absolutely stunning. I could not believe my eyes. Absolutely drop-dead gorgeous. I don't own all of Disney's animated Blu-Rays but this has to be one of the best.

Can't wait to grab these tomorrow!! I'm getting Arrietty and Whisper for sure. I'm torn on Castle. I do want to support the fact that we are getting Ghibli on Blu, but I have the 2010 DVD release ... I most likely would have waited on it had I known just two years later it would be out on Blu! Not s...

Interesting. If that Wave 3 lineup is true, I wonder why it's so heavy with TS3. I was hoping for Zurg and Pete. They say Mr. Pricklepants packaging has curtains on it to match his Shakespearian style, but I always thought his performance personality was something he invented himself to be or create...

Well, at least this release continues the tradition of horrid Diamond Edition covers. Seriously, the Snow White and Bambi Blu-Ray Diamond Edition covers are absolutely hideous, and are probably my two least favorite Disney covers ever. Until I saw this one, that is. LOL. It's just terrible. That fan...

For anyone who needs Bullseye, disneystore.com is now selling him but he's the usual Disney price which is higher than retail. But he's there!!

Wow, great deal Kyle! Love your pictures as always. I'm a little surprised that Woody is so difficult to get on Bullseye, you would think that's something a lot of people would do!! I'm frustrated trying to find Bullseye. I've checked 4 different Toys R'Us stores (and none of them are close, which m...

Spoiler Warning!! For me, it was because Jessie's experiencing abandonment all over again. And she mentioned that it was "Emily all over again," but I mean, I thought for some reason that she would have another flashback scene this time around, maybe with both times she shared with Emily a...

Okay, here is my review. You can tell from my username how much I love the series. The entire franchise has been a big part of my life. I remember faking being sick so I could leave school early the day the first one came out. I remember my Mom getting up at 5 a.m. and standing in line for 3 hours t...

My Toys R Us had every TSC toy except for Bullseye. Drat!! He's the only one I'm missing from the TSC line. Lotso actually is very cool in person. His smell is very overpowering lol.

That Partner Pack is very similar to the packaging but on the one I saw Jessie was on the left and Bullseye on the right. And that was not the Jessie I saw, the face was from the TSC version. But Kyle solved it, that is absolutely the Bullseye I saw. They must have bundled the TSC Jessie with that B...

I've searched online for it but can't find it anywhere. I'll keep looking!! It was $50 but Bullseye comes with the TSC Woody or the TSC Jessie -- your choice!! I passed on it because I wanted Bullseye in the TSC Woody's Roundup packaging and I didn't know for sure if it was the TSC one. I'll keep lo...

No that wasn't it! Good find, though, but what I saw was much bigger and it has a Toy Story 3 logo on it. I'm sure it was the TSC Woody because it had the giant pull string and looked just like him. That's why I think it was the TSC Bullseye.

I MIGHT have seen Bullseye today. At Sam's Club they had a 2-pack of Jessie/Bullseye and then a Woody/Bullseye. I can't tell if he was the TSC version, but the Jessie and Woody I'm around 99% sure was the TSC one. The back of the box said they were created from the original Pixar data. It was just a...

Good point about the hair!! Hopefully some have longer hair as that's the only real inaccurate part of her. You know, it's hard to say if it's Joan or not doing the voice. When I first heard Jessie my first thought was, "Hmmm, that doesn't sound like Jessie." But then after a while it soun...
