I'm not upgrading all my discs. Assuming the new format actually catches on, which I have severe doubts about, I won't buy a new player until the prices go down considerably. And I'll probably only buy new releases in Blu-Ray; I'm not really much for double-dipping. Considering that I just started g...

I'm excited that it says "Summer 2006" and not the late in the year release that it was rumored to be. I'm hoping for a 2 disc set. To be honest, it's been so long since I've seen this movie that I barely remember it, but I'm still getting it :P Some things I'd like to see on the disc - ma...

I just finished watching it, and I have to say, the restoration job on it is brilliant. You'd never guess this movie is from the 50's - the colors on it are so vibrant. When I saw the before and after photos on the back of the cover, I thought it looked dreadful, but when I actually watched it, I co...

Anyway- you can get a $5 rebate for LATT if you buy two pet food products. Here's the link to the form: http://thinktreats.com/pages/ladytrampoffer/ That looked like a good deal until I read that you have to chop up your DVD cover to mail in the UPC. I hate that. You'd think the receipt would be pr...

I don't think it matters much if you're in the DMC or not. As long as they have them available, they should send them out to you. I just recently called them about three movies I had bought at Target without slipcovers, and even though did ask me where I had purchased them, they still sent them to m...

Treasures - availability and prices?

I've almost completely convinced myself to sign up for the club, but I'm wondering a few things on the Treasures. About how much do they typically cost? And which ones, if any, are still available through the club? I know they're all listed as OOP here on the site, but since you can still buy some o...

I'm getting Lady and the Tramp for sure on release day. And I'm getting Pride and Prejudice too, but I'll probably wait until I can get that on a pre-viewed deal.

Yeah, I noticed this started with Cinderalla: Platinum edition. I haven't even watched the moive before..and I own it! It actually looked nice on the Cinderella discs, because the character and title graphics were opaque. And I thought the plain silver background worked well. I still prefer full-co...

While I'd love it if Disney would speed up the release of their platinums, I don't think that Blu-Ray is really that big a factor in it. As DarthPrime said, DVDs will more than likely still be around and popular with the general public in 2009. And if Blu-Ray does happen to catch on that quick, I do...

I prefer the full color disc designs to these new semi-transparant ones too. I hate the way the Bambi II DVD looks. I suppose it matches the effect on the slipcover, but it just looks so ugly. I wonder how much Disney is really saving with this new disc art? I'm guessing it has to be a cost issue, b...

Before I buy into this I will make sure it is not the next Beta or picture disc, which were the waves of the future and never made it. This is another reason why I'm hesitating on going Blu-Ray. I could be completely off-base here, but I really don't seeing it catching on as much as they're predict...

I don't really see much sense in buying Blu-ray discs that I can't use yet. Nothing worse than having a shiny new toy that you can't play with. I doubt I'll jump on Blu-Ray bandwagon until either a) DVDs start to become obselete or b) prices for Blu-Ray players drop considerably. I'm not spending a ...

LATT Prices, Freebies, & Packaging

I thought this thread might be helpful in deciding where to buy Lady and the Tramp next Tuesday. Some of it has been listed in other threads, but it seemed like it might be easier to put all in one list. So far I've seen the following deals: Circuit City : $14.99 with free "Go Fetch" playi...

An additional thing to make note of if you're buying from Ebay is that many sellers are only auctioning ONE disc of the Platinums, and are not including the extras disc. They usually only mention that in small print, so it's easy to miss. So be sure to read the entire page twice before bidding on an...
