I really think this thing is going to have legs and do real well over the long run. Despite the critics reviews, it seems the general public has been liking it. I hope this proves to be this year's Shrek 2.

Theatres to go digital?

Theaters To Go Digital -- By the Thousands In a move that is likely to force the transition to digital projection in movie theaters, Carmike Cinemas, the nation's third-largest chain, said it would convert 2,300 auditoriums to digital by October 2007. The projectors will be provided by Christie Digi...

Before I got a DVD player, I use to get my Disney VHS and CDs from a used movie store. The VHS would run for about $10-15 and the Disney soundtracks would run anywhere between $3-$10. I think they must have done quality control on all their merchandise because I never got a defective video or CD. So...

I *might* go. I actually hate going to Disneyland in the summer because it gets way too hot and the lines are crazy long. I did order the free 50th celebration DVD and so my decision will probably be based on how effective a marketing tool that DVD ends up being.

I've always wanted to attend a mother's day brunch. I know they have one at the Disneyland Hotel in Southern California with everything cut into Disney shapes.

I think my mom would probably prefer it though if I made her brunch myself.

Such a Great DVD..........Love it..... but is it me or does Pocahontas (and at times her friend) have sorta BROWN hair...instead of the BEAUTIFUL BLACK ........ Yes. I noticed the same thing. And their eyebrows are also more brown this time around. Everyone's hair/eyes seemed to have gotten lighter...

The Netflix Affiliate Link Is Not Working

Was it recently discontinued? The Icon is still showing on both the front page and in the affiliated links section.

Mother's Day

Anyone doing anything interesting on Mother's Day (hopefully, with your mother and/or child)?

Cards? Brunches? Flowers? Etc. . .

Since I won't be able to be with my mom on Mother's day, I've sent her a card and flowers. I'm really not much more creative than that. . .

Well, I finally got my Amazon pre-order today. Not bad considering that it was only one day after the official release. Did anyone else notice that John Smith's eyes seemed Paul Neuman-like blue? I found them really distracting because it differed so much from my VHS copy where his eyes were a far m...

Just 2. I bought them both when I was dating a video gamer. Video games require too much work. I'd rather read a book.

Re: POCAHONTAS

I was going to post this under the thread "Do you like/dislike Pocahontas?", but now I love the movie so much I felt like making a new topic... Well, today I went to a nearby mall and walked to a cd/movie store I really like because it has dvd imports. Before entering I thought that perha...

My opinion: "most romantic" should be Aladdin...because TLM's scene can be done. A gondola ride comes close. :p Though you wouldn't have animals singing in the background. But a magic carpet ride...now there's magic. and romance. ;) AND Ariel and Eric didn't even end up kissing. At l...

It depends on how much I like the movie. For my favorites, I watch all the bonus features and then complain there are no more. For rentals though, I rarely watch the bonus features. Sometimes I have trouble even getting through the main feature though. I *still* have not watched all the Disney Treas...

Can you order the slipcovers by e-mail as well? No. That is what I originally did. They replied to my email by saying that I should call their customer help number. It was a very generic email making me suspect it was an automated reply. You should just call. It is a 1-800 number and so it is free.

Yes, excellent review Luke! Thanks for writing it.

I am a little disappointed to hear that the sound wasn't completely in synch with the film in certain areas. I really hope I don't notice it.

Yes, Disney customer service is very nice on the phone. I can understand though why they might get irritated with some people who try to hoard slip covers. I had a damaged case and they are sending me a free replacement case. Just wanted to give everyone a heads up that they will not only replace sl...

Don't listen to him. There are a lot of us on this forum who are big fans of Pocahontas.
