If the animated 'Soundtrack' from Fantasia counts as a character - that's who I'd like to list. If not, I'll go with Kronk.

Hmmmm - I think anything that WE think up is gonna be better than the real event! :( However - if you look at the URL: http://disney.go.com/23/twenty_three/preview/index.html The word 'preview' in there makes me think that my guess is that it's just a preview for a movie/tv show that has either the ...

There are a few reasons why almost all CDs and DVDs come out on Tuesday. Most stores will receive their Tuesday 'lay down' shipments on Wed, Thurs or Fri. That way, if a hot title is missing (or lost or stolen) there is time to ensure that replacements are available by Tuesday, or sometimes even mor...

I've never understood why studios don't print on both sides of the front / back cover sleeve.

That way we could pick which image we want to have.

*I know that a lot of British DVD's actually do do this are are then encased in a clear keepcase - shich I think is massively cool!

How do I get 'screen captures' to post online

Howdy gang, I was hoping that someone could tell me how to get screen captures from DVD's to post on here. I love the various posts that compare various releases with specific examples. Are there specific programs to use? I finally got a DVD player for my computer and there are a few things that I w...

iQuiz on iTunes - Create Disney music trivia games!

Hey gang, I was checking out the new releases in iTunes today (lol - YES - to look for any new Randy Thorton produced tracks!) and saw that there is a new game for the iPod called iQuiz. I pretty much thought it was just gonna be trivia - which would have been enough for me. It's actually a music/tv...

Is this Disney World commercial on DVD?

Hey gang, I'm going to Disney World in September and already my work-mates are sick and tired of me talking about it. LOL (not really!) But several coworkers have said that I remind them of a guy from a Disney World commerical that starts off where some kids (a brother and sister?) are talking about...

Although 'Happiest Celebration On Earth' is my favorite, I do agree 100% with gardener14 about the diversity of the people who are featured on the transitional segments on the new disc. I love to see that. Maybe there will even be a day when there are more 'blended' families of different ethnicities...

Maerj - Thanks for your list. It's good to know that I have 'all' of the DVD's that have been made available. Even I don't have to own every variation (toddlers, single person, senior citizen, left handed, stocky, curly permed, glasses wearing, etc..... lol), and I'm one of THOSE people who 'need' t...

Luke,
The last DVD pictured is the most recent one. The first place I saw it advertised was in the True Life Adventure releases. I just got it about a week ago.

Walt Disney World vacation planning DVDs

I'm a big fan of the DVDs that Disney will send to you when you're planning a trip to WDW (or Disneyland). I think they are a great way to get footage of the parks and the resorts, and are a fantastic way to relive a trip - or dream about the next trip that you're taking. I actually have a few (but ...

As a kind of "countdown" of how much I enjoyed those features that you have yet to watch, I'd go with 1. Home On The Range (okay story/okay animation - GREAT music) 2. Treasure Planet (very good concept / GREAT character animation) 3. Brother Bear (I actually liked everything about the mov...

I'm getting the 4 Legacy DVD's on Friday and I'd like to watch all of the TLA's in the order that they were released. For most of them, that's easy because only one per year was released. However, in 1952 two were released - Olympic Elk and Water Birds. In 1953, three were released - Bear Country, P...

Check your local and 'not-so-local' Borders. I work at Borders and I'm always amazed when we get in some Treasures that were from a wave or two ago. You can look online at a store's inventory, or call any store in the US, and ask them if they have a certain title in stock. Be sure to tell them that ...

Thanks Chris, It definitely was a fun time. I was surprised with how many people who were "young-ish" recognized the Mouseketeer outfit. And I really noticed that a LOT of people would see my costume and just break out a huge smile. It felt great, and I think I got a sliver of an idea what...

He's very talented with costumes and make-up and all of that. In previous years he's been Witchipoo (from H. R. Pufnstuf) and Endora from Bewitched. He siad the costume itself was easy to put together put he had the hardest part of all making the parrot head for the umbrella. Hey - that makes me won...

YOUR Disney Halloween Costume

Hey gang, Did anyone dress up as a Disney character for Halloween? If so ..... let's see it! Here I am (on the right, with the big ears!) http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o56/kryptonkylie/shawnandmarypoppins.jpg Little did I know that one of my friends was ALSO going to dress up as a Disney charac...
