It will air October 18, and then the DVD release it TWO DAYS LATER on October 20. Imagine the marketing possibilities?

Disney formula? No such thing. And regardless if 20th Century Fox copy-cated any "formula" - it was still was of the best non-Disney animated films ever. If Disney would have put out that same product - you'd be whistling a different tune.
