How far from mint are they? I will guess that you cannot use ebay (based on your age comment), even for research you could only look at current auctions without being signed up. You one of the five exodia cards, depending on what you have and what set they are from selling them as a lot could work b...

Soon every movie will have a slipcover.

One of my questions was if anyone used to have a need for slipcovers and then at some point no longer cared?

I need to restate the follow comment. Looking nice is not worth the extra cost. It depends on what will be looking nice, DVD's in their original cases do not look bad, they even look more even when there is only the original case, (which is well taken care of) If I went to buy a new book and one had...

If the slipcover was used to protect the case then the slipcover would look warn too quickly, I can keep cd's dvd's casing looking new for years, I have at least a dozen movies with slipcovers. I would rather buy a movie used and replace the case (always) then spend over twice as much to purchase th...

I see Bambi with and without a slipcover. I want to buy Mulan at some point and if I was worried about having a perfect slipcover, I would have to pay $20.00 plus tax, while I can buy it new online for $12.00 plus $2.50 for shipping, it may even have a slipcover, just no way to know the condition of...

What once was important is no longer as important -slipcover

Has anyone else felt a need for having a slipcover for all movies they own that came with one at some point? And then a time comes when you felt it was no longer important, that you may end up spending more funds on a movie just to make sure the slipcover is in perfect condition? If that is not a co...

I have seen Mulan new online for fourteen fifty after shipping costs, yet, there is no way to know the condition of the slipcover. Even if the seller is asked, who know what it may look like by the time reaches you.

Could be a good thing, sending them back for replacements.
I do like those slipcovers, along with them being in mint condition, and these were a bit folded, one in half.

Slipcovers damaged by post office

I was almost done with the slipcovers I needed, however, the two I received today were damged by the post office (nothing surprising there, the only way to protect envelopes like that would be to add strong metel lining) Has this happend to anyone that already had their limit of five and got replace...

Far better then nothing, I also had to find one in the best condition.
All nine at the store were like that, thought it was odd as most have it the other way around.

I buy many used DVD's and replace the case and they are good as new, movies with slipcovers need to be purchased new. I started buying DVD's a couple months ago trying to purchase my favorites first, I have a few so far with a couple dozen to go.
