Re: Remakes, and you're view on them

Remakes are NOTHING new. http://www.cracked.com/article_19190_6-classic-movies-you-didnt-know-were-remakes.html I am willing to give remakes a chance. Some remakes I liked better than the original. Some I like just as much. I can appreciate reimaginings and remakes. For instance, I like Willy Wonka ...

Re: Shrek The Broadway Musical Coming to Blu Ray

Netflix has it now. Watched it the other day It was entertaining, but certainly not worth the ticket price, IMO. Farquad was very well played. Shrek's voice was okay. Donkey was like a gay Eddie Murphy, I liked it lol. I know I said this in the other thread about the Broadway show itself, but I do l...

Anyone get the feeling it will go to Broadway? It plays so much like a Broadway show.

Re: Frozen: Part V

I prefer the movie version of Let It Go for the sound and voice. But Demi's lyrics are better, IMO. I wish Idina had sung Demi's versions. It would be perfect IMO. On the whole, prophecy and explanation of Elsa's powers. I don't miss that not being in there. There are things in this world we cannot ...

Re: Frozen: Part V

I bought the soundtrack and the music has grown on me a lot. Except the troll song. Still not for that. I love the idea "true love" is not always falling in love. It is also the love for another, namely family. Anna is so desperate for love and attention that the moment she gets it, she is...

Her pose looks so awkward. Like her head is on backwards.

Re: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

My fiance is 35 and enjoys the show. Now to the extent of dressing up and such. But he laughs along with myself and our daughters. He and I discuss the show sometimes. He has to catch up on the new season. We just ignore the darker side to the fandom. Honestly, almost all fandom has their perverts. ...

Re: Frozen: Part V

BRAVE isn't dark on romance. It's dark on marriage without romance. Marriages without love. Arranged marriages and marriages for titles. Merida wasn't ready to be married, because there was no romance, or love. By the end of the film, this is understood, and so each of the three boys attempt to cou...

Re: Frozen: Part V

The movie didn't interest me till I saw so many good reviews....well headlines for good reviews. Once I decided to see it, I avoided reading them due to the chance of spoilers. I saw it today, and though I don't feel it was as strong as Lion King or Beauty and the Beast, it was still ahead of Prince...

Re: Transsexuals!

Transgender people have never bothered me. Once I was in a women's restroom and the person next to me washing their hands, I believe they were a transsexual. I was not offended or afraid. I honestly think there should be non-gender specific restrooms....like family restrooms. It would be nice, but I...

Re: Frozen: Part III

The teaser was very disappointing. It felt more like a Pixar animated short. I am sure the trailer will be better when it shows more of the story and main characters but never been a big fan of spotlighting sidekicks. Also what little I see, it reminds me heavily of Tangled. I was hoping for a more ...

Ironically...I am watching Marvel's Avengers right now. Also a long time fan of Buffy. So your "advice" falls on deaf ears. I was moreso responding to bradhig's comment about how he doesn't like watching movies where characters have tragic deaths...and Whedon definitely loves to pull that...

Well I am on prozac, lamictal, and buspar and I love sad stories. Helps me realize how lucky I am. If your medication and psych aren't helping, get new ones. A good psych can help retrain your brain to look at the work a little brighter.

Disney's Divinity wrote:I hope they are just empty threats. I really don't want the U.S. in another war.

Still, I feel very sorry for South Korea having to have that country sitting right above them. :(

It would be a quick war. N Korea would kick our shins and then we would nuke them into history.

I have been criticized for enjoying animation more than live action much of the time. Since I was in high school. Though I have had less and less comments in recent years. I think it has a mix of many animated features are geared at adults as much as kids now....look at Shrek and Wreck It Ralph for ...
