I just received this DVD today (yes, I know it's 2 weeks early), and I'm a little underwhelmed with the packaging. Usually the animated movies come in a nifty slipcover, but no such thing here. They do make a note on the back cover that it's printed on recycled paper, so maybe that's why they ditche...

According to a newsletter I received from my TV provider (satellite TV), Tinker Bell will be shown on the Pan-European version of Disney Channel, early October. I can check when I get home, but there was en exact date AND TIME. I was a little surprised, since it was 10-20 days before the US DVD debu...

According to IMDB, the Cinematographic process used was spherical. Correct me if I'm wrong, but that would to my knowledge mean that it was filmed in 1.33:1, and then matted. IMDB also states that the intended aspect ratio is/was 1.75:1. The same applies to alot of Disney animated movies from the 60...

Well, this has its roots quite deep in history - at least compared to the sort of time spans we're dealing with in our age of technology... It has to do with the fact that the AC output has 60 Hz in America and 50 Hz in Europe. Yeah, I knew they were different, but you'd think with all the new tech...

Keep in mind that the 4 volumes (Starcrossed excluded) contains 4 episodes each, in chronological order.

The tin box will hold 13 amaray cases, since Metrodome's releases is 3 amarays in a slipcase. (Except the last volume, which contains 4 DVDs). So I guess you can put 13 amarays next to the Region 1 releases, and see if the (more or less) match. I only have the first two Region 1 releases, so I canno...

You dissapoint me, Karlsen. I haven't got the gift set yet, but it's all paid for and I'll get 'em to send it later this week. Looks really nice. Very similar to the Lion King gift set, with the exception of the cell frame.

One question about Clayton's collection: Is there a reason as to why you have multiple copies of some movies? (Would be nice to have an extra sealed copy of my favourites, though).

The recent telemovie with West and Ward is coming next year, in the US. Anchor Bay announced it just a few days ago.

I might get the box set, since I don't have any of the movies. But I'd rather have the '66 series on DVD:
