I would wait until you hear from more sources to come to any conclusions. The image on the website literally looks like someone whipped it up in MicrosoftWord, given the spelling error line under the word "Platinum". Personally, I don't buy it, and I won't until I hear other sources confi...

"Alice in Wonderland" goes Platinum

Hello there! I know I haven't posted here in a long time, even though I've always been around. I really miss you! Anyway, I thought this was big enough to warrant a post. The Brazilian branch of Buena Vista has released some information on the future of the Platinum editions, and there are some surp...

Yes, this DVD was released in the Netherlands. It has trailers of all Classics on it. The DVD was free when you bought a Disney DVD. The price of €14,50 is too expansive in my opinion. You can still buy this for about €5,- in a Dutch online DVD shop. Are these theatrical trailers or trailers for th...

I know I'm not a regular poster on this forum as I used to be (even though I'm always around), but here is my small contribution to this thread: if you want to watch scenes from the Academy version of "Lady and the Tramp" on the new Platinum DVD, you can find them in the Disneyland televis...

I'm not all that surprised for the lack of a two-Disney edition or even meatier extras on the DVD (audio commentary, for example). Considering how micro-managed this production was, how many changes to the story were made to please Eisner and the executives, I wouldn't be shocked if Disney didn't wa...

Help a first-time traveler to Orlando!

Hi guys! Next February I’m taking my first trip to the US. I’m going to spend a month in Orlando: in the first two weeks I’ll be visiting all the parks and after that I’ll be staying in a home accommodation and will be taking an English course in the University of Central Florida. I have a few quest...

Well, to everyone that still waiting for a better edition as you said I'd suggest you buy it since it would be a miracle if Disney evere release it on a special edition. Well, considering that a digitally restored anamorphically enhanced edition of "The Black Cauldron" has already been re...

Even though the possibility of a special edition of The Fox and the Hound is quite exciting (even if it is one of my least favorite), I wonder how special this edition can be as far as bonus features go. Considering this is probably going to be a 1-disc edition, I wonder if all Disney is going to do...

While this is great news (we've heard about this edition for about two years), it is a bit worrying they are not advertising it as a 2-disc edition considering the Tarzan and TENG fiasco. Let's wait for more information and screencaps from the trailer from our always reliable Ultimate Disney. :D

Last year the residue left on the tin after i took of the card on the back peeled right off! Also those security stickers that go across the top and side of the DVDs left the most insane amount of residue i have ever known! It's literally taken me over an hour to get it all off, in the end I had to...

Well, I believe they are going to include the half of "Story of Dogs" that concerns "Lady and the Tramp". Since the other half of the program is included on the "Complete Pluto" DVD, you more or less have the complete show. :P

There's another flaw in Toot, Whistle, Plunk and Boom that's perhaps not so obvious. It's presented in stereo, but only in two channels. As an early cinemascope production, it must have been made for theatrical presentation with a four channel soundtrack that should have been preserved on the DVD. ...
