Re: UltimateDisney.com/DVDizzy.com Reviews: Discussion Threa

I think you were unnecessarily harsh on The Good Dinosaur. I went in with extremely low expectations, but there is a lot there to like, and it is very affecting for parents.

Re: UltimateDisney.com/DVDizzy.com Reviews: Discussion Threa

For The Force Awakens:

The packaging for the three discs can be either a hinge holding one of the discs or no hinge with the two Blu-rays stacked directly on top of each other on the right side of the case. I got the latter at Target.

Your reviews are always very thorough and go into the details of the disc that a lot of sites skip or gloss over (menu design, value, etc). Recently, I enjoyed reading your take on The Dark Knight Rises and Men in Black 3.

That is an excellent review, Luke. Some of our Pixar film views differ, but we both agree that The Incredibles is one of the all-time best movies out there. I'm happy that the Easter Eggs are now easily accessible. That by itself is a decent incentive to upgrade. Thanks for including so much detail ...

I'm sure that we'll see it before summer is out. I was just using a bit of exaggeration. I've seen The Incredibles get pushed back on the review list many times in favor of other discs, and I wanted to express my anticipation. I just tell myself that the wait time means that the review won't be put ...

I've been enjoying the reviews a lot. They are consistently high quality, giving plenty of details about production, marketing, and all aspects of the home release in addition to the opinion of the film/show itself. My one request is that the Blu-ray of The Incredibles gets its review sometime befor...

I've got an amazing woman in my life right now, so my disposable income is being spent a little differently this year. I have enjoyed the UD Secret Santa program in the past, and I hope that I can participate in a future year.

The Sound of Music review was extremely helpful to me. You'd think that every credible reviewer would specify which features were ported or left off from previous releases, but UD's is one of the few that did. That degree of thoroughness is something that puts reviews on this site in the top tier of...

The Blu-ray vouchers act like cash at the participating theaters for TS3 up to $8.50 here in the U.S. I had no problem with seeing it at the local Cine Capri screen (largest conventional ratio screen in AZ).

Toy Story 3 gets five stars from me. It made me laugh and cry, and it is a perfect capstone to the series. The opening sequence is hilarious. It slows down a bit until the plan is set in motion at Sunnyside, and then the ride really begins. All of the new characters worked for me, but Ken and the un...

I saw the Tangled teaser with Toy Story 3 today, and I was very disappointed with it. Only the bit with the horse laughing at Flynn amused me in any way. Unless the theatrical trailer or word of mouth are awesome, I may rent or even skip this movie. This is coming from a diehard Disney fan and one o...

Iceflash, I'm not sure what contradiction you're referring to. Some posters may think that there is a Blu-ray of this movie coming, and they may even be right. I think it is unlikely based on the poor reputation of the movie and the lackluster treatment it has received from Disney in the past. Even ...

So, here's the question of the day Blu-ray owners, do we hold out for a future BD release or get the new 25th Anniversary DVD? For those who don't own the movie at all yet, this new DVD is worth a pick-up. I own the previous DVD release, and even though it's not 16 X 9 enhanced, it will serve me we...

For you and your son, Magic Kingdom is a must. I don't know how tall your son is or what he is interested in, but I would say that Animal Kingdom has a lot to offer the both of you. You can't go wrong at any of the parks, but choosing the best ones for you depends on a lot of factors.

Attraction cloning brings some of the most popular Disney attractions closer to home for many people. If you're visiting a park farther away than your usual park, then the cloning means that you can focus on visiting those attractions that are unique and be a little less rushed. For example, I don't...

Wow. For spawning three discussion threads about the movie itself, the Blu-ray and DVD did not get much feedback after release. Here are my general thoughts. The presentation of the movie on the Blu-ray is great. The extra features, though, are pretty lackluster. There are some good pieces of inform...

If they put the right teaser trailer with Toy Story 3 for Pooh, then audiences might sit up and take notice. There is no reason that another great Pooh movie aimed at all ages cannot be made. They just have to convince the public of that, and a properly managed marketing campaign can do just that.
