Re: Mulan (Live-Action)

I’ve never been that big of a Mulan fan so I was a bit indifferent when they announced the live action version. That being said, this teaser looks amazing and now i’m surprisingly really looking forward to it. As far as Mushu goes, I am totally fine with them cutting him. He always annoyed me (I get...

Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection

Oh my gosh... what is that cover? Seriously, Sleeping Beauty deserves so much better than this. It looks unfinished. I hope it’s just a placeholder. Same goes for the font. Wow..

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)

So Terry Crews just posted a picture on Twitter of himself as Triton claiming he’s Ariel’s dad. Can’t tell if it’s a joke or confirmation. I hadn’t thought of him but i’m actually all for it.

Re: Hercules Live-Action?

Alexander Skarsgard is.. kinda surprising. Isn’t Hercules supposed to be pretty buff? Skarsgard is fit but not bulky.. and he doesn’t really have any hint of Mediterranean in him either. I’d personally pick somebody more like Ryan Phillippe instead.. Kellan Lutz was pretty spot on for casting but th...

Re: Cinderella (Sony)

Yikes. This sounds like it should be another one of the Cinderella Story spinoffs instead.. especially given the casting. Also, if they're even going to bother with another musical Cinderella, would it really kill them to just greenlight an actual movie based on Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella?...

Re: The Little Mermaid (Live-Action)

I actually love this idea for Scuttle. He’s always been my least favorite character from the original anyway, so if they have to include the character in some form, might as well give Ariel a female sidekick instead and Awkwafina is a perfect pick for a quirky, somewhat annoying character. I am tot...

Re: Snow White (Live-Action)

Very excited about this! It sounds like it’s in good hands. I think Katy Perry is unfortunately too old to be considered a 13 year old Snow White... though they may make her older in this version. As for Gaga, i actually think she’d be better cast as the Evil Queen rather than Ursula. If they write ...

Re: The Walt Disney Signature Collection

Why is this being called the Anniversary Edition instead of the Signature Edition? Hopefully it actually is the same thing, just being touted as an Anniversary release (I think they did that with Little Mermaid). Nevertheless,I love the first pic! Hopefully they’ll fix the shoes and then it’s perfect!

Re: The Little Mermaid TV Series - Official Home Media Relea

Aww that's a shame, I don't think it's on UK iTunes. Glad it's finally made it over though ! It lists the US release as August 20th.. so UK could be next. Sometimes there's a lag in release dates.. I'm hoping this opens the door for Aladdin and Hercules next. Did either one of those get any HD rema...

Re: The Little Mermaid TV Series - Official Home Media Relea

Great news! The whole show is now available to purchase on iTunes. It’s split into 2 volumes. They’re using the HD remaster, though I see that the show is also available in SD but it’s the same dimensions as the HD one.. Was hoping for a physical release but this is better than nothing!

Re: Prince Charming (Live-Action)

I wonder if they are using this as a vehicle to create a live action Snow White universe. They’ve already announced both Snow White and then the spinoff Rose Red. By adding her in this one, i’m guessing its going to be their soft introduction to the character before they do the others.

Well the animation looks slightly better on everyone except Odette. Granted, we only got a couple of glimpses at her. Sad to see all the focus seems to be on her daughter instead.

Re: The Swan Princess

At least she seems a bit more on model than in the previous films. Granted it could just be the clip art.. The cast of characters seems interesting. It's giving me Princess and the Goblin vibes.

Hmmm there was a dragon in Happily Ever After, but that is the only dragon in any Snow White adaptation I've seen. And if it's anything remotely like that... This project is
doomed.

There is a big difference between comic strips, House of Mouse, childrens books, etc and a film billed as "NAME OF DISNEY CLASSIC II". The sequels to these movies are indeed, unlike spinoff series or character appearances on shows, canon. They were commissioned and written as official sequ...

The only Disney movie that still effectivly scares me to this day is The Great Mouse Detective. From the beginning to the end, though it has become my favorite Disney movie, I still freak out all the way. Ironicly, I am a horror movie reviewer, and I'm not easily scared, but TGMD still gets to me ev...

Wow I'm only sixteen  .... but I still enjoy Disney movies and I probably always will (provided they get over this Lilo and Stich, Brother Bear, and Home on the Range stuff.) After all, you only live once, at least in this lifetime, so you might as well live it for yourself. However, that bein...

eh... i never really liked Disney's character of Snow White... maybe it was the way she was drawn? So a sequal wouldn't really affect me. However, I think that Happilly Ever After is one of the best animated movies ever. Sure it was badly animated, was corny, and was a sequel, but I really enjoyed i...
